Adriaan Rees in The Blue Revolution

Adriaan Rees curated and features in the traveling exhibition The Blue Revolution, 400 years Exchange, opening 24 april in Dongguan, China, This is a joint exhibition of Museum Prinsenhof Delft, Jingdezhen Imperial Porcelain Museum and the Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park Museum Dongguan.



Travelling exhibition The Blue Revolution already has his next stop in China

As of April 24, 2014 the exhibition " The Blue Revolution , 400 years Exchange " will be featured in Dongguan , China. After the success of "The Blue Revolution" in Delft and Jingdezhen (China ) , the exhibition will travel to the Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park Museum in Dongguan . The exhibition will be this time even more extensive. In Delft, the visitor saw himself in the hold of a ship, in Jingdezhen came the underwater world at the exhibition.  In Dongguan the show is complemented by a true hero hall, with of course a role for William of Orange. 'The Blue Revolution, 400 years Exchange "is a joint exhibition of Museum Prinsenhof Delft, Jingdezhen Imperial Porcelain Museum and the Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park Museum Dongguan.

Hero Hall
The Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park is named after the hero Yuan Chonghuan .. Yuan Chonghuan (June 6, 1584 - September 22, 1630) was a famous soldier during the Ming Dynasty and trusty of the emperor. The history of Yuan Chongghuan has many similarities with William of Orange. The hero hall in "The Blue Revolution" Dongguan explains the connection between the three cities from each town hero: William of Orange from Delft, Tong Bin from Jingdezhen and Yuan Chonghuan from Dongguan.

Twinning Delft with Jingdezhen
The joint exhibition 'The Blue Revolution' is one of the results of the collaboration between the cities of Delft and Jingdezhen ceramics. This collaboration will include getting a sequel in the form of an exhibition in the near future. We hope that the visitors of the scheduled exhibition in Delft can see particular collection of ceramics from the Imperial Porcelain Museum in Jingdezhen in Museum Prinsenhof Delft.
 
Artists
The exhibition presents contemporary ceramics by well-known Dutch and Chinese artists and classic porcelain from Jingdezhen and traditional Delftware, supplemented by archaeological finds from Delft. These archaeological finds are partly ancient porcelain from Jingdezhen and partly ancient Delftware. The contemporary ceramics collection is the result of an intensive exchange of Dutch artists who made work in Jingdezhen and Chinese artists who have been working in Delft.
The exhibition ' The Blue Revolution , 400 years exchange " , you will be able to see the artist works of : Adriaan Rees , Hugo Kaagman , Pepijn van den Nieuwendijk , Tineke van Gils , Pauline Wiertz , Chris Dagradi , Li Jiansheng , Wan Li Ya , Zhang Ling Yun and Adrie Huisman .
