PREVIEW ART ROTTERDAM 2023 - At second sight

Art Rotterdam 2023 - Van Nellefabriek Rotterdam

This year at Art Rotterdam we present a curated show titled At second sight with Pius Fox (D), Manfred Schneider (D), Jan Wattjes (NL), Ruri Matsumoto (J/D), Raquel Maulwurf (E/NL), Daniele Galliano (IT) and Harry Markusse (NL). At the gallery we have put toghether a preview under the same title, of what you can expect to see at our booth. 
For Art Rotterdam 2023 we expand our young artists inclusion and continue the development of the gallery’s program towards a more abstract approach to figuration. The exhibition -At second sight- explores the value of experiencing art works in real life. The discoveries you can make when taking another look upclose -at the surface, the technique, the materials used- revealing a world that can’t be observed or experienced online.

The recently published catalogues of Harry Markusse (Museum Voorlinden, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AKZO/NOBEL) and Daniele Galliano (Biennal Venice, Havana and Kerala) will take the lead in this project.
We are also proud to have Jan Wattjes return to Art Rotterdam after his exhibition Form & Content from which several works are now in the collection of the Kunstmuseum The Hague.
